Imagine sitting on the deck of the oldest surviving residential farmhouse in Brisbane, the spring breeze teasing at your senses as you sip tea and indulge in a delicious slice, all the while being guided step by step through a learn to make class?

Step back in time with us here at Sip 'n' Dip. This amazing venue offers a rare opportunity to experience the past, Wolston Farmhouse was after all the home of a Crown Commissioner for Lands, pastoralists, and dairy farmers, and is found on a rise overlooking the Brisbane River. 

What to expect from the class

History alive! Arrive a few minutes early to take in the sights of the suitably appointed venue. Weeping trees and speckled shade frames the heritage building marvellously, you will almost certainly feel a sense of whimsy as you enter the beautiful yard. On arrival at the deck, you will be welcomed and seated by our expert teacher and your order will be taken. Sit back and experience the peaceful harmony on offer at this exclusive location while you wait for your class to be seated. Once everyone has arrived step by step your teacher will help you bring your coasers to life in a flurry of colours leaving you with a masterpiece to take home and keep to remember your visit.

Seating with friends

On arrival, your teacher will ask how many people are seated in your group. If you are attending with others we will automatically assign seating with your friends to enjoy you get the very best out of your experience!

About the venue

Wolston House is a heritage-listed museum and former homestead at 223 Grindle Road, Wacol, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1852 to 1860s. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. It is now a historic house museum operated by the National Trust of Queensland. You can learn more here.
